Virtual Happy Hour with Gregg Garfin

SW CASC University Director, Gregg Garfin, will join Dr. Amy McCoy (University of Arizona) on Friday, August 28th, at 4pm PDT, for a Virtual Happy Hour, hosted by Arizona Land and Water Trust. Dr. Garfin will be speaking to the latest climate trends including how they intersect with what is happening in our local landscapes, grasslands and forests, and how they extend to impact public health and food sustainability. Dr. McCoy will share stories of the Santa Cruz River and how climate trends impact the health of this unique river system, critical to replenishing the Tucson basin (some of you may recall Amy from a Trust field trip alongside the river!). You'll also learn about the Trust's land and water protection efforts providing local solutions to these challenges.
