Please join us on Thursday, March 15 at 3 pm ET for the next presentation in the NCCWSC Fish & Game webinar series: "Projecting Climate Change Impacts on Wetland-Dependent Birds in the Prairie Pothole Region".
Presenter: Helen R. Sofaer ; U.S. Geological Survey, Fort Collins Science Center
Projections of climate and land use change can help inform the allocation of resources across space and among species. North Central Climate Science Center supported work in the Prairie Pothole Region highlighted a framework for projecting climate change impacts, and developed methods for assessing surrogate species relationships. Join this webinar to learn more about the degree to which management efforts directed at waterfowl may also benefit other species and the utility of models for comparing species’ vulnerability to climate and land use change.
